We believe that each member of our community is important and necessary for our community to thrive and meet the vision of reaching the gaming community with the gospel of grace. To that end we have created a structure the recognizes each individuals position within the community.
The following is a list of each group within the GBG community.
Episkope (Overseers) - This group is for those charged with overseeing the various aspects of GBG. Current Overseers are: Risen, N0 False G0ds, Pastor Rich, TruthPastor, CybrFrk, and Destruxor.
1 Peter 2:2-3 - "2 . . . shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, serving as overseers—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve; 3 not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.
Poimen (Pastors) - This group is for those who are pastors. These men are highly respected by the Episkope and value their thoughts and input.
Ephesians 4:11-13 - ". . . some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
Presyteros (Elder - Senior Members) - This group is for those who have proven themselves to be faithful, trustworthy, responsible, considerate, patient and mature in their faith. Those at this level are appointed by the Episkope, who have put their trust in these individuals.
Acts 14:23 - "Paul and Barnabas (Overseers) appointed elders for them in each church and, with prayer and fasting, committed them to the Lord, in whom they had put their trust."
Besileia (Kingdom - Member) - This group is for those who desire to be active and involved and love the community aspect. They are active in games and on the forums. To be in this group, requires regular interaction. Admission to this group requires a vote by the majority of the Episkope. Inactivity at this level will result in being move to the Apopherō en Pneuma Group.
Col 1:13-14 - "13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins."
Neotes (Youth Member) - This group is for those who meet the criteria for membership, however are age 18 and younger. Inactivity at this level will result in being move to the Apopherō en Pneuma Group.
Titus 2:1-2, 6-8 "You (Elders) must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine. 2Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance.
6 . . .encourage the young men to be self-controlled. 7 In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness 8 and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us."
Apopherō en Pneuma (Away in Spirit - Inactive) - This group is for those who have been in the Basileia or Neotes Groups, but for one reason or another they have been away from the forums or gaming. Those here may be serving out country abroad, or have other things that have taken them away, but they are missed and were at one point an integral part of our community. Their return to full membership is only a request away...
Luke 19:12 - "A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return."
Genomi (2nd Level Applicant) - For the individual who has applied and who has been approved by one member of the Episkope.
Semnos Paroikeo (Honorable Neighbor) - For those who come to our community from another community. They include Ambassadors, VIP's, Leaders and members of other groups.
Plethos (The People - registered community members) - For those who register on our forums and for 1st level applicants. (See Genomi for 2nd Level Applicant Status)
